Lego Reversing Plate by SpazChicken Lego Reversing Plate by SpazChicken
Well, I guess my secret is out. I'm an AFOL...

The other day while playing with my son I had this idea for this LEGO block/piece. They may already make something like this, but I've never seen it.

I think that I've seen this piece in my lego history, it wasn't quite how you've designed it, but it accomplished the same thing.
(if I remember right it was this lego super set for a F1 racecar)

The thickness could make this hard to use... but yeah, this is among the most-demanded LEGO parts that's never actually appeared in a set.

Something I've considered lately and never seen anyone use is the potential of the hook piece ( [link] ) for stud inversions. It's small, one plate thick, and has studs on both sides.

So...

1. Buy a bucket of these in bulk.

2. Spend an evening with a pair of snips, an emery board, and something brainless on TV.

3. ???

4. PROFIT

Armed with a bazillion of snipped towhooks you could create inversion arrays of any size needed, and rule the world.

I had 2 of those from a pair of Tyco megablocs military series. I don't know if I still have them. But the idea has merit.

megabloks has that piece the trick is how "thick" to make it

should it be plate thick?

cause megabloks have 2 kinds of plates half brick width and lego style 1/3 brick width

tyco superblocks had the opposite piece teh one that connects 4 studs to 4 studs

I have never seen a piece like that. But when I used to be huge into Legos, I wish that piece did exist!
